In the last several years, the proliferation of consumer technology has made well-crafted user interfaces the norm. The ubiquity of software in our every day lives has created an atmosphere where excellent experiences at every level of a business (from sales & marketing, to product, to employment models) are not just in demand, they are a requirement for success.

As a result, the role of the designer has become increasingly important; we are truly having our moment in the sun. How do we leverage this new state of business to take our careers and our industry to the next level?

Katie Bush, CEO and Founder of KBD, will explore how the Silicon Valley companies she's worked with have truly elevated the role of design as a core of their business, and how designers can step up to the plate to have a seat at the table for company strategy.
