Back by popular demand—or at least the demand from those with Obsessive Compulsive Design Disorder (OCDD), Leslie Friesen will reprise her Power Tips for InDesign presentation. In the 2017 edition, she’ll breeze through some of the tips covered last year, like Quick Apply (her personal favorite), using object styles, placing multiple images and generating captions. So if missed last year, this is your chance to add some great shortcuts to your toolkit. If you were there and forgot 80% of it, come back again.
Don’t worry, there will be some new additions—like “how to set a pretty table.” Maybe we’ll even dive into using Data Merge to bring spreadsheet copy into InDesign and format it with ease!
PLUS two bonus “shorts.”
1) Tips for saving your images for the digital world, including adding metadata (and, of course, she has a shortcut to do that).
2) Special guest Scott Soeder, GREP Guru, will introduce you to the power of GREP in your Find and Change searches.
The format is a flex workshop. She’ll plan to cover a lot in the first hour, so anyone who has to bolt for work can leave by 10. But for those who can’t get enough, stick around. We can get into even more nitty gritty. And who knows, perhaps even have some “open Mac” time where people can come up and share their favorite tips and tricks.
